She looks at the morphology of the Bony Labyrinth (inner ear) and has studied it in Neanderthal and modern human samples, looking for signs of hybrid ancestry. Dr. Uhl’s research explores sexual dimorphism in modern human samples and created discriminant functions useful to forensic identification. This research utilizes powerful medical imaging software to virtually dissect human remains.
